My daughter was struggling in her second grade class and her teacher seemed not to know how to help her. Dr. Barrens-Alexander helped me to understand how to relate to the teacher. By the end of the school year, the teacher and I were able to communicate and work together to help my daughter excel. Dr. Barrens-Alexander gave me study materials to work with my daughter, she reviewed my daughter’s test scores and offered me guidance on how to instruct my child in reading and math.

In fourth grade, my daughter experienced another year of struggling in the classroom. Once again, Dr. Barrens-Alexander provided me with direction through parent teacher conferences and gave me tools to use to help my daughter achieve success. Year after year Dr. Barrens-Alexander has guided and supported me in educating my daughter. With her help, my child has been listed on the honor roll with a 3.2 grade point average. She has achieved high honors since first grade and she is now on her way to middle school.

Dr. Barrens-Alexander taught me that self confidence in children is the key to their success. If we believe in them and they believe in themselves, children can accomplish all their dreams. Thank you, Dr. Barrens-Alexander, for your love and support of me and my child. Because of you, I know my daughter is on the right track and will do great things.
